More than ever, underrepresented students must be equipped with the tools to excel – despite elements of systemic oppression that too often preclude them from achieving on par with students whose life prospects have not been challenged by housing and job discrimination or constrained economic opportunities. At Mikael Davis Consulting, we have been providing college access services for ALL students since our inception. But our practice was literally birthed when, as a college sophomore in 1993, Mikael Davis made the decision to pursue a career as an educator to help more first-generation and low-income students like himself matriculate to college. Throughout his career as a cross country and track and field coach, a classroom teacher, and K-12 and university administrator, Mikael's passion to increase educational opportunities has improved his clients' life prospects by equipping them with the content knowledge and proven systems to achieve their academic and vocational goals.

In his current roles as an educational consultant, university administrator, and grant writer, Mikael provides college access and affordability services for secondary students in Virginia and evidence-based interventions for post-secondary and post-baccalaureate students across the nation. ​Mikael Davis Consulting​ has supported successful applications to some of the finest universities in the nation, to include the College of William and Mary, the University of Virginia, Hampton University, the University of Richmond, Virginia Commonwealth University, Morgan State University, Cedarville University, Campbell University, Virginia Tech, Xavier University of Louisiana, Washington and Lee, Howard  University, Bluefield College, George Mason University, Texas Christian University Medical School, Howard University College of Medicine, Wright State University’s Boonshoft School of Medicine, the Johns Hopkins University Medical School, and Yale, among others. 

​To date, we've helped hundreds of students earn over $26 million dollars in merit-based and federal aid. Parents often find the college admissions and scholarship application process to be daunting. We think it's one of the most exciting experiences that your student will ever encounter.  In fact, we are very proud to announce that clients in our most recent cohort have received full-tuition scholarships to Temple University, Virginia Commonwealth University, Howard University, Old Dominion University, and the Johns Hopkins University's Postbaccalaureate Research Education Program.
