DR. DIRON FORD, NEW HERITAGE HIGH SCHOOL PRINCIPAL

DR. DIRON FORD, THE NEWLY APPOINTED PRINCIPAL OF HERITAGE HIGH SCHOOL, IS AN ACCOMPLISHED EDUCATOR WHO HAS SERVED AS A VARSITY BOYS AND GIRLS BASKETBALL COACH, SOCIAL STUDIES LEAD TEACHER, ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL FOR OPERATIONS, AVID PROGRAM COORDINATOR, AND ADJUNCT PROFESSOR. During his tenure as the Director of Secondary Instruction, Dr. Ford commissioned Mikael Davis Consulting to help him create presentations on Gloucester County Public Schools Dual Enrollment and Advanced Placement enrollment and performance, CTE completer rates, ASVAB completion, secondary school accreditation, benchmark test performance, Middle School advanced course enrollment and performance metrics, and graduation rates.

​Subsequently, Mikael Davis Consulting updated Dr. Ford's curriculum vitae to highlight his evidence-based administrative leadership, sound classroom instruction, result-oriented professional development, mentoring, and coaching with particular emphasis on Dr. Ford's commitment to sound pedagogy, AVID and International Baccalaureate methodology. As we prepared Dr Ford for his interviews, we clustered his myriad experiences over 30 years of demonstrated success improving instructional and behavioral outcomes resulting in full accreditation via exemplary instructional practices and on-going student development. 

One overhauled CV, strategic coaching and interview prep session later, and Dr. Ford accepted a position as the new principal of Heritage High School. We can't wait to witness all that Dr. Ford will achieve in his return to Newport News Public Schools!
