THE CAROLL F.S. HARDY
SCHOLARSHIP ENDOWMENT

The subject of an August 7, 1988 New York Times article entitled “Success Strategies for Minorities” by Joseph Berger and a May 27, 1990 Parade Magazine article by Wallace Terry, “She Helps Make Winners,” Dr. Carroll F.S. Hardy, Hardy, who served as Associate Dean of Multicultural Affairs and later as Associate Vice President for Student Affairs from 1980 to 1995, was a giant in higher education administration.  “Dean Hardy,” as we affectionately referred to her, mentored, cajoled and inspired thousands of high school and undergraduate students to complete our secondary, post-secondary and graduate degrees.  Dean expected us to be servant leaders in our vocations, in the public square, and in our communities of faith. During her tenure, Dean Hardy was whatever we needed her to be – a mentor, a parent, comic relief - but always “good company” for the journey.

DR. CARROLL F.S. HARDY SCHOLARSHIP ENDOWMENT
In 1995, Dean Hardy launched her own consulting practice, The Stuart Educational Leadership Group, Inc., through which she realized her vision to facilitate student success for more than two decades.  Because William & Mary created an endowed scholarship in Dean Hardy's honor in 2018, Mikael Davis Consulting encourages alumni to use the link above to contribute directly to the College of William & Mary's Carroll F. S. Hardy Scholarship Endowment*, which honors the late Dr. Carroll F.S. Hardy's impact on multiple generations of William & Mary students and students from across the country from under-represented backgrounds, as well as to support the Center for Student Diversity at William & Mary.
